Farmfoods European Legends Links Championship lands on the Staysure Tour
2019 will mark a brand new event on the Staysure Tour with the Farmfoods European Legends Links Championship announced as the latest addition to the tour schedule.
Sure to be a great addition to the Staysure Tour’s ever-growing schedule, the fantastic event will take place at the stunning Trevose Golf & Country Club between 16–19 June and will see a whole host of golf icons take to the course.
With the beautiful Atlantic Ocean providing the perfect backdrop for the event, the action will take place on the Championship Course. First opened in 1925, the course was lovingly designed by historic golf architect, Harry Colt.
Similar to many of Colt’s designs the course is made up of two loops of nine. The front nine is dominated by sand dunes and views that look out to sea on the exceptional coastline. Whereas the back nine features a number of challenging holes which heads inland back to the clubhouse.
The venue is just five miles west of Cornwall’s iconic town of Padstow and will present players with a challenging test of golf. This inaugural event marks the first time in which Trevose has hosted an event of this size and prestige and will see the likes of Ian Woosnam OBE, Paul Lawrie OBE, Paul McGinley, Costantino Rocca and Peter Baker all in attendance.
